What is Home Care in Scotland
Home care – sometimes called home help or home support – is care provided in your own home to help you keep your independence.
Having a paid carer come to visit you in your home can make a huge difference to your life, especially if you have difficulty walking or getting around. It can help you stay living independently in your own home.
This type of care is known as homecare or domiciliary care or sometimes home help.

The Social Care Industry
The social care sector within Scotland is governed by the Care Inspectorate (https://www.careinspectorate.com/). JKL Care Services is a registered service this means JKL is both registered and governed by the Care Inspectorate. For you this means you are working with or being looked after by a service that has a registered manager and is inspected on a yearly basis by an Inspectorate of the Care Inspectorate.
The SSSC (https://www.sssc.uk.com/) is the Scottish Social Service Council they register all employees within the Social Care sector. All JKL colleagues are registered with the SSSC and this means they are safe and responsible to work within the industry. To bolster this safety JKL introduces all colleagues into every service through the management team for both your safety and our colleagues.
JKL care services also utilises Citation a nationwide respected HR, employment and Health and Safety firm that monitor and assist JKL with each of these departments. Citation also carries out a yearly health and safety inspection of JKL so you can rest assured we take safety very seriously.
